How to Play 101 Okey Vip Offline

101 Okey Vip is a multi-round game played with four players, where the objective is to finish with the lowest total score. Points are calculated based on the remaining tiles in your hand at the end of each round (e.g., red 3 = 3 points, black 11 = 11 points). The game ends when either all tiles have been drawn or a player successfully completes their hand.

Getting Started

At the beginning of each game, one player is chosen as the dealer. The dealer gives each player 21 tiles, while the player to the dealer’s right receives 22 tiles. The remaining tiles are placed face down on the table, with one tile revealed to determine the Joker (Okey tile).

The game proceeds counterclockwise, starting with the player to the right of the dealer—who has 22 tiles. This player begins without drawing a tile and discards one. The next player then chooses to either draw a tile from the pile or take the last discarded tile. If the sum of the sets in their hand reaches 101 points, they may open their hand by placing valid series on the table. Players who cannot open their hand must discard a tile and end their turn. Even after laying down all tiles, the player must still discard one final tile to complete their move.

Understanding the Joker (Okey Stone)

The Joker changes in every game and is determined by the face-up tile at the start. Two additional tiles representing the number directly above the face-up tile serve as real Jokers. For example, if the face-up tile is a blue 5, the two blue 6s become the real Jokers. These tiles can be used as substitutes within sets and carry the same value as the indicator tile.

Opening Your Hand & Playing Sets

To open your hand, you must reach a minimum of 101 points using valid combinations such as three or four of a kind across different colors (e.g., black 5, red 5, blue 5) or sequential runs of the same color (e.g., red 7, 8, 9). Each set must contain at least three tiles. Once opened, you can add to existing sets on the table during the same round.

If you pick up a discarded tile, you must immediately use it. If you haven’t yet opened your hand and take a discarded tile, you must open your hand on that turn using the received tile. If the tile doesn't help form a valid set, it can be returned and replaced with a random tile from the deck—without penalty.

Playing with Doubles

An alternative way to open your hand is by forming at least five pairs of identical tiles. Once you choose this method, you cannot switch back to standard sets for that round. However, you can still contribute to other players' open sets on the table.
