Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 5080 Gaming PC Now Available from $2,399

Author: Jack May 03,2025

Starting today, Dell is offering an incredible deal on the Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC, equipped with the powerful new GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, for just $2,399.99 shipped. This price point is one of the most competitive you'll find for an RTX 5080 prebuilt system, especially considering the general trend of increasing prices since the RTX 50 series launch in January. At Dell, the next cheapest option with an RTX 5080 GPU is over $4,000. If you're considering building your own DIY PC, good luck finding a standalone RTX 5080 GPU; the cost could easily match that of this entire system.

Update: Like many other manufacturers, Dell has been impacted by tariffs. With the ongoing stock issues surrounding the Blackwell cards, prices on Alienware gaming desktops featuring RTX 50 series GPUs are expected to rise soon.

Alienware Aurora R16 Intel Core Ultra 7 265F RTX 5080 Gaming PC

Priced at $2,399.99 at Alienware, this Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC is a powerhouse, featuring an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F CPU, a GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, 16GB of DDR5-5200MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The Intel Core Ultra 7 265F Meteor Lake CPU boasts a max turbo frequency of 5.3GHz, with 20 cores and a 30MB cache. The system is cooled efficiently by a 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler and powered by a robust 1,000W 80PLUS Platinum power supply.

The RTX 5080 is one of the three new Blackwell graphics cards currently available (and notoriously hard to find). In our Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 FE review, Jackie notes that "If you already own a high-end graphics card from the past few years, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 might not offer significant value – its performance lead over the RTX 4080 is minimal, although the enhanced frames from DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation do enhance the gaming experience in supported titles. However, for gamers with older graphics cards looking for a substantial upgrade, the RTX 5080 delivers, especially if you're keen on leveraging Nvidia’s AI enhancements."

RTX 5080 and 5090 GPUs Are Sold Out Everywhere

The initial wave of Nvidia GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards sold out within the first hour of preorders. The RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 were the first to be released, followed by the RTX 5070 Ti in February. Similarly, prebuilt gaming PCs with these new GPUs are either out of stock, have increased in price, or are facing extended delivery delays.
