While search functionality may be temporarily limited for some U.S. users, Epic assures this will be resolved shortly. Players can currently access the freshly reinstated store page directly. European gamers also gain access through Epic Games Store and AltStore.
This iOS return marks the resolution of Epic's contentious battle with Apple, which began dramatically in August 2020 when both Apple and Google removed Fortnite after Epic introduced discounted V-Bucks with a direct payment option. The developer had protested what it deemed prohibitively high platform fees charged by both companies.
The ensuing legal conflict kept Fortnite absent from official mobile stores for years, until April's federal court ruling in California prompted Epic CEO Tim Sweeney to announce an imminent May return. Though delayed by one final Apple roadblock, Fortnite now completes its five-year comeback journey.
iOS players now enjoy flexible V-Bucks purchasing options: either through Epic Games Store or traditional in-app purchases. Choosing Epic's direct payment unlocks bonuses—for instance, the $22.99 2,800 V-Bucks pack returns $4.60 (20%) as credit for other Epic offerings.
