The Signal Redirector is a unique tool in *Atomfall* that you won't find through typical means like trading or scavenging from corpses, unlike items such as the Metal Detector. To get it, you'll need to visit a specific location connected to Dr. Diane Garrow, a former B.A.R.D scientist.

Start by gathering information from Wyndham Village about Dr. Garrow's whereabouts. Once you have the lead, embark on a mission to rescue her from the Protocol prison camp in Skethermoor. Reaching this location is challenging due to the heavy presence of Protocol soldiers. To ease your infiltration, consider meeting Captain Grant Sims in Wyndham Village first. By assisting him with tasks such as retrieving stolen items, you can gain favor with Protocol, which may help in navigating the prison camp.

When you're prepared, head to the Protocol prison camp situated on the southern edge of Skethermoor. The entrance to the underground prison is at the end of the southernmost road, behind a large green door.

The prison is multi-leveled, and you'll need to progress through each level, evading or neutralizing guards and robots. Remember, B.A.R.D robots can be disabled to obtain their **Atomic Batteries**, which are essential for The Interchange.

Descend to the lowest level of the prison, past the dig site area. Here, you'll find Dr. Garrow locked in a standalone cell in the main room. To free her, you'll need the Signal Redirector, which is located in the nearby Storage room on a shelf. Upon retrieving it, you'll earn the **‘Reverse the Polarity’ trophy/achievement**.

How to Use Signal Redirector in Atomfall

The Signal Redirector, developed by Dr. Garrow, serves as a hacking tool that allows you to reroute power within yellow junction boxes to different sources. This capability can be crucial for disabling security systems and accessing locked storage rooms.

When equipped, the Signal Redirector will notify you with an icon at the bottom of your screen when you're near a hackable junction box. Follow the direction indicated by the needle on the device to locate the box, which will be highlighted once you're close enough.

To hack, select the ‘Hack’ button to reroute the power. If necessary, you can reverse the hack by selecting the ‘Hack’ option again.
