Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 2 Arrives January 28th
Treyarch has officially announced the launch date for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 2: Tuesday, January 28th. This marks the end of Season 1, a remarkably long 75-day run, making it one of the longest seasons in Call of Duty history.
While specifics on Season 2's content remain under wraps, anticipation is high. The first season was a huge success, setting player records for Black Ops 6, but recent weeks have seen a decline attributed to issues like cheating in Ranked Play and server problems. The community hopes the new season will revitalize the game with fresh content and significant improvements.
Season 2 Launch Confirmed
Treyarch's confirmation came via the January 9th patch notes, addressing unresolved Zombie mode issues slated for the next season's release. A full reveal of Season 2's features is expected soon.
Season 1 delivered a substantial update, introducing numerous multiplayer maps, modes, weapons, and events, plus a significant overhaul to Warzone, including a new movement system, weapons, gameplay changes, and the Area-99 Resurgence map. The return of classic maps like Nuketown and Hacienda from Black Ops 4 was also a highlight.
Looking Ahead to Season 2
While details are scarce, Treyarch has hinted at further classic map remasters for Black Ops 6. Associate Creative Director Miles Leslie previously stated that no Black Ops map is excluded from potential remastering, though original maps remain a priority.
