Nintendo's Alarmo alarm clock: Japan release delayed despite global availability.

Nintendo Alarmo Japanese Release Postponed Despite Being Available Worldwide

Due to unexpectedly high demand and insufficient stock, Nintendo Japan has postponed the general retail release of the Alarmo alarm clock. Initially scheduled for February 2025, the launch has been indefinitely delayed. This announcement comes directly from Nintendo Japan's website. Currently, there's no word on whether this will impact international availability, with a global launch still planned for March 2025.

In the interim, a pre-order system will be implemented exclusively for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers in Japan. This pre-order window opens mid-December, with shipments anticipated in early February 2025. The precise pre-order start date will be announced separately.

The Alarmo, a gaming-themed alarm clock featuring music from popular Nintendo franchises (Super Mario, Zelda, Pikmin, Splatoon, Ring Fit Adventure, and more via future updates), launched globally in October. Its immediate popularity overwhelmed Nintendo, leading to a halt in online orders and a lottery system for remaining stock. Both online and physical stock quickly sold out in Japan and even the New York Nintendo store.

Further updates on pre-orders and the rescheduled general sale will be shared as they become available.
