KEMCO Releases Novel Rogue: Card Deck-Building Roguelite on Android

KEMCO has just launched an exciting new roguelite game on Android titled Novel Rogue. This card deck-building fantasy JRPG combines enchanting pixel art with a deep narrative, centered around books, magic, and strategic gameplay. In Novel Rogue, you step into the shoes of Wright, a young apprentice under the guidance of Yuisil, the Witch of Portals. Your journey begins in the Ancient Library, where you can dive into the tales of four magical books, each transporting you to a unique world. One adventure might have you aiding a princess knight in reclaiming her fallen kingdom, while another could involve unraveling the enigmas of the underworld. Every choice you make alters these worlds, ensuring that each playthrough is a fresh experience.

What’s the Gameplay of Novel Rogue Like?

The heart of Novel Rogue lies in its dynamic turn-based card battle system, which adapts to the narrative of the book you're exploring. Each of the four distinct worlds comes with its own deck-building mechanics. As you defeat enemies, you get to choose from three new cards post-battle, allowing you to craft the perfect deck for your strategy.

The game introduces innovative features like the Change command, which lets you redistribute damage among allies, and Novel Power, which enhances your deck using ink. For those seeking a greater challenge, the Deep Record mode increases dungeon difficulty, offering high-stakes battles that test your skills.

As you progress, you'll gather treasures to gift to characters, strengthening your bond with them. These relationships can unlock a special ending, adding depth to the narrative. For personalization, Witch Stones allow you to change character costumes to your preferred styles.
