Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 has recently found itself at the center of controversy, drawing the attention of activists, including notable figures like Grummz. The game came under scrutiny after a series of subpoenas were discovered within its content, sparking an attempt to cancel the project. The situation escalated when news surfaced about the game being banned in Saudi Arabia, fueling rumors about the inclusion of specific content and "progressive" ideas within the game.
As a result, Warhorse Studios, the developers behind Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, faced a barrage of criticism and attacks on social media. These efforts aimed to discourage support for the game and its developers, branding them as promoting certain agendas.
In response to the swirling rumors, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, the PR manager of Warhorse Studios, addressed the public. He urged fans and the community to trust the developers and not to believe everything they read on the internet, emphasizing the importance of accurate information.
Stolz-Zwilling also provided an update on the game's progress, announcing that review codes for Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 would be distributed "in the coming days" following the game achieving gold status in early December. These codes are set to be released four weeks prior to the game's launch, allowing streamers and reviewers ample time to formulate their initial impressions and reviews.
Interestingly, Stolz-Zwilling mentioned that the first "final previews" based on segments of the game from the review version should be available just a week after the distribution of the review codes, offering early insights into the game's content and quality.
