New Monster Outbreaks Feature Tested in Monster Hunter Now

Monster Hunter Now is buzzing with excitement as Niantic introduces a new feature called Monster Outbreaks, currently in its testing phase. This event is designed to gather player feedback to refine the feature before its official launch. If you're eager to dive into this thrilling new addition, here's everything you need to know about the Monster Outbreaks testing in Monster Hunter Now.

When Is the Monster Outbreaks Testing in Monster Hunter Now?

The testing period for Monster Outbreaks is scheduled for April 26th and 27th, with a brief two-hour window each day. The event will occur twice daily on both Saturday and Sunday, from 10:00 to 10:59 a.m. and again from 3:00 to 3:59 p.m., based on local time. During these designated times, specific locations on the map, known as outbreak points, will see a surge of 8-star Black Diablos. The objective is for players to collaborate and take down 100 of these formidable creatures at each outbreak spot within the one-hour timeframe. Note that this goal is local to each outbreak point and not a global total.

To participate, you must be at least HR 11. Additionally, the party feature is disabled, so you'll need to engage in in-person group hunts. Outbreak points are easily identifiable on the map with a unique icon, and tapping on them allows you to view details and even sign up on a roster to coordinate with other players.

Black Diablos Is Rolling Up with Serious Boss Energy, in Swarm Mode!

The challenge of reaching the 100 slay count is fascinating. For example, if you and three other hunters successfully defeat one monster, it contributes four slays toward the collective goal. Should your group achieve the 100 slay target before the time runs out, you can continue hunting Black Diablos for the remainder of the hour.

Completing the challenge comes with rewards: 3 Black Diablos Tailcases, 3 Ridges, 3 Primeshells, 3 Marrows, and 2,000 Zenny. Additionally, using the sign-up roster grants you a special Outbreak Test I Medal.
