Pokémon GO is celebrating the New Year with its annual festive event, running from December 30th, 2024 to January 1st, 2025. This exciting event features themed bonuses, special Pokémon encounters, and plenty of ways to ring in 2025 in style. Following the Community Day event (December 21st-22nd), trainers can jump right into the New Year's festivities.

This year's event offers a fantastic opportunity to earn a whopping 2,025 XP for every Pokémon caught with an Excellent Throw! Immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere with New Year's decorations and celebratory fireworks illuminating the skies.

Expect to encounter a higher frequency of themed Pokémon in the wild, including a ribbon-adorned Jigglypuff, a New Year's outfit-clad Hoothoot, and a party hat-wearing Wurmple. Keep your eyes peeled for their Shiny variants!

Raids are also getting a festive makeover. One-star raids will feature a snowflake beanie-wearing Pikachu, while three-star raids bring party hat-sporting Raticate and Wobbuffet. Shiny rates for all three are increased during the event.
