Rumor: Genshin Impact Leaks Popular Character\

Genshin Impact's Wriothesley Rerun Rumored for Version 5.4

A leak suggests Wriothesley will finally return in Genshin Impact Version 5.4, over a year after his initial release. This highlights the game's challenge in balancing character reruns with its ever-growing roster of over 90 playable characters. The current banner system, with limited rerun slots, creates significant wait times for many characters.

While the introduction of the Chronicled Banner aimed to address this issue, its effectiveness remains debated. Shenhe's lengthy wait time before her rerun exemplifies the ongoing problem. Unless triple banners are implemented, extended rerun delays seem inevitable.

Wriothesley, a Cryo Catalyst introduced in Version 4.1, has been absent from event banners since November 8, 2023. His unique Cryo hypercarry capabilities and strong performance in Burnmelt teams make his return highly anticipated. The recent Spiral Abyss buff further strengthens his viability.

The source of this rerun rumor, Flying Flame, has a mixed track record. While they accurately predicted the Version 5.3 Chronicled Banner, other leaks proved inaccurate. Therefore, players should approach this information cautiously.

Version 5.4 is also anticipated to introduce Mizuki, potentially Inazuma's first Standard Banner character. If the leak is accurate, and Mizuki and Wriothesley share an event banner, the other 5-star character is likely to be either Furina or Venti, as they are the only Archons yet to receive a rerun. Version 5.4's launch is expected around February 12, 2025.
