Regular readers may remember that we covered the release of Spirit King Quest a few weeks ago. Although it didn't initially captivate me, I must admit that their latest collaboration has caught my attention, largely due to its partnership with Cats are Masters of the World.

Beyond the fact that cats certainly don't need an ego boost, this crossover is exactly what you'd anticipate given the title. CMW, as developers refer to it, is a web series centered on the comedic antics of cats everywhere.

The collaboration primarily introduces a range of new cosmetic items for players to equip. Even if you aren't familiar with characters like Chichi or Morang from the show, Spirit King Quest promises a diverse selection of pet skins and character hats to explore at your own pace.

Eight Studio is also planning additional celebration events for this collaboration, including an Emoji Reaction event on their official Discord server. While I doubt this CMW partnership will be enough to pull me into Spirit King Quest myself, it certainly sounds entertaining.

As for the broader appeal? I appreciate the playful tone of such a crossover. However, compared to major collaborations like Summoners War's ongoing Lord of the Rings tie-in, a lighthearted animated series about cats might easily fly under the radar by lacking that same level of grandeur.
