Square Enix Launches Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince On Android Globally

Square Enix brings the Dragon Quest Monsters series to mobile with Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince, following its December 2023 Nintendo Switch release. This seventh installment in the franchise introduces a fresh perspective on a familiar character.

Who is the Dark Prince?

Players assume the role of Psaro, a young man cursed by his father, the Master of Monsterkind, rendering him unable to harm monsters. To lift the curse, Psaro embarks on a journey to become a Monster Wrangler, teaming up with monsters to ascend the ranks and potentially become the Master of Monsterkind himself. Fans of Dragon Quest IV will recognize Psaro as the game's antagonist; however, this title unveils his story.

The game unfolds in the magical world of Nadiria, where dynamic weather and seasonal changes impact gameplay. Recruit, train, and fuse over 500 unique monsters, ranging from adorable creatures to bizarre behemoths. Weather conditions influence monster appearances, ensuring constant discovery during exploration.
