NetherRealm and WB Games have officially released the gameplay trailer for T-1000, who is set to join the roster of Mortal Kombat 1 next Tuesday. This character stands out with his unique ability to transform into liquid metal, allowing him to creatively evade projectiles. Fans who enjoyed playing as Kabal in previous games are likely to find T-1000 appealing, as he incorporates some of Kabal's signature weapons and moves, despite Kabal not being in the game himself.
The trailer pays homage to the iconic film Terminator 2: Judgment Day, featuring a recreation of the memorable scene where T-1000 wags his finger—a gesture that's notably banned in the NBA for being unsportsmanlike. In another nod to the film, T-1000 interacts with Johnny Cage, inquiring if he has seen John Connor.
Alongside T-1000, the trailer introduced Madam Bo, another new addition to the game. T-1000's Fatality showcases his liquid metal capabilities, as he changes his appearance and efficiently terminates his opponent, aligning with the machine's mission objectives.
No additional announcements were made by WB Games. Rumors are circulating that this might be the final content update for Mortal Kombat 1, with speculation about an upcoming announcement for a new game. However, there is no official confirmation on this yet.
