Take-Two Interactive is expressing strong confidence in the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, just weeks before its highly anticipated launch. Amid ongoing speculation around pricing, tariffs, and game distribution models, Take-Two stands out as a vocal supporter of Nintendo’s next console.

During an investor Q&A session following the company's full-year earnings report, CEO Strauss Zelnick shared his positive outlook on the Nintendo Switch 2. He described a sense of “great optimism” regarding the platform and noted that Nintendo has improved its support for third-party developers compared to previous console launches:

"We're planning to launch four titles on the Nintendo Switch 2, which represents a broader lineup than we've ever offered before for a new Nintendo platform. Historically, being a third-party publisher on Nintendo systems has presented some challenges. However, this time around, Nintendo has been proactive in addressing those issues. In response, we’re stepping up our commitment because we believe strongly in the potential of this platform. When it comes to bringing games to any system, we evaluate each opportunity individually—we want to be where the players are. That said, not every title will appear on every platform. There are also significant opportunities with our existing catalog."

The lineup includes Civilization 7, set for a June 5 launch date, along with the popular NBA 2K and WWE 2K series, although specific titles and release windows have yet to be confirmed. Also confirmed is Borderlands 4, scheduled for September 12. While none of these are unexpected—given that Take-Two already supports all these franchises on the original Nintendo Switch—Zelnick’s remarks hint at possible future releases, including potentially more entries from the company’s deep back catalog. Although GTA 6 seems unlikely to make the cut, there's always room for a surprise like a GTA V port further down the line.
