War Thunder Mobile's Open Beta for Air Battles Takes Flight!

Gaijin Entertainment has launched the open beta for aircraft battles in War Thunder Mobile, bringing intense aerial combat to your mobile device. This update introduces over 100 planes from three nations (with more to come!), expanding the game beyond its previous naval and ground support aircraft involvement. A dedicated air-focused mode and a full aerial tech tree are now available.

Explore the Skies: USA, Germany, and USSR Aircraft

Currently, players can pilot iconic aircraft from the USA, Germany, and the USSR, including the P-51 Mustang, Messerschmitt Bf 109, and La-5. Future updates will add even more nations to the roster. Players can specialize in one nation's tech tree or diversify their fleet by progressing through multiple. High-ranking aircraft can be acquired via blueprints earned in in-game events, starting in early October.

The New Aviation Campaign

The open beta unlocks a new Aviation campaign, featuring an aircraft hangar where you can manage your planes, research tech trees, and upgrade your crews. Squadrons of up to four aircraft can be formed, allowing for customization of aircraft and armaments.

Mastering the Aircraft Hangar

The aircraft hangar is your central hub. Here, you can manage your vehicles, apply camouflage, explore the tech tree, and invite friends to your squadron. Each aircraft slot offers options to change vehicles, modify armaments, or upgrade crews. Squadron composition is flexible, allowing for diverse aircraft regardless of class, nation, or rank.
