WHAT IS STENCILETTO?

Stenciletto is a series of progressive brain exercises using fundamental geometric shapes. Its goal is to develop and sharpen visual-spatial perception skills. Anyone can play—all you need is the ability to recognize basic shapes and understand the concept of a stencil.

Solving the puzzles requires the simultaneous use of a broad range of critical thinking skills: visual-spatial perception, logical reasoning, planning, and problem-solving. It is deceptively simple yet mentally demanding. Your task is to tap geometric stencils in the right sequence to recreate the target pattern. It’s much tougher than it first appears and is guaranteed to get you thinking!

The game was developed over a decade by an experienced teacher, with valuable input from children, teenagers, adults, and individuals with learning disabilities or brain injuries. Every group has found it engaging and motivating.

In this latest version, we've introduced Education Mode, making the game classroom-ready. All content unlocks with a single purchase. It includes controls for content access, internet use, Game Center, and sharing. Education Mode supports Family Sharing, making it perfect for home educators as well.

HISTORY OF THE GAME

Originally known as the Stencil Design IQ Test, the game was created by Dr. Grace Arthur, an early 20th-century psychologist who recognized non-verbal skills as a core component of intelligence. She found it suitable for children as young as seven and for her fellow academics. Tasked with assessing the IQ of Native American and deaf children who hadn't attended traditional schools—and thus scored poorly on verbal tests—she used this activity to demonstrate their IQ was on par with that of educated Americans.

WHAT'S IN THE GAME?

There are two game types. Classic Games use Dr. Arthur’s original geometric stencils (squares, circles, triangles, crosses, etc.) familiar to most. Our new World Games are advanced extension exercises for those with strong perception and logic seeking a greater challenge.

Stenciletto features over 600 graded puzzles. Every level includes a free puzzle set to try (60 free puzzles in total).

Each paid game contains 15 puzzles. For every completed Classic Game, players earn an animated Smiley. These are inspired by famous historical and mythological figures, representing diverse cultures. They’re also a fun way to track progress and achievement.

Different modes of play are available:-

• Mortal Mode is the default, where you either buy lives or wait for them to regenerate. It is timed, scored, and has Mortal leaderboards.

• Immortal Mode provides free lives forever—just top up your life bank as needed. It is timed, scored, and has Immortal leaderboards.

• Mindful Mode has no timer or scoring, letting you relax and solve puzzles at your own pace.

• Education Mode unlocks both Immortal and Mindful Modes (Mortal Mode can be disabled), giving you a choice of play styles.
