Back in January, Bluepoch Games announced an exciting collaboration that has now unfolded into more detailed plans. The highly anticipated Reverse: 1999 x Assassin’s Creed crossover is set to feature the iconic Ezio Auditore da Firenze as a playable character, bringing together fans of both universes.
In partnership with Ubisoft, this crossover will celebrate two beloved entries in the Assassin’s Creed series: Assassin’s Creed II and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. A teaser released in January showcased Vertin navigating a rainy street, with the luminous Assassin’s Creed logo emerging in the background, setting the stage for what's to come.
Get Ready to Welcome Ezio from Assassin’s Creed into Reverse: 1999!
The full plan has now been unveiled, with the crossover set to launch on Android, iOS, and PC in August 2025. Beyond Ezio, there are plenty more exciting elements to anticipate in this collaboration.
The event will unfold in two distinct phases, each bringing its own set of Assassin’s Creed-themed narratives and events. Phase I will immerse players in Renaissance Florence, where Vertin and her team will navigate 15th-century Italy, piecing together enigmatic clues.
Phase II will transport everyone to the ancient world of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, specifically ancient Greece. Fans of the game will likely recognize familiar events as Vertin and her crew become embroiled in the action.
It’s a Special Crossover
This crossover marks a significant milestone for Reverse: 1999, as it will be the first time all servers worldwide will be synchronized, allowing global access to the event content simultaneously.
Reverse: 1999 is a time-traveling RPG that blends modern and retro aesthetics. Players assume the role of Vertin, the Timekeeper, who is immune to a mysterious phenomenon called The Storm. Following the storms, entire eras vanish, prompting Vertin and her partner Sonetto to journey through time, rescuing arcanists sensitive to these temporal shifts.
If you haven't yet experienced Reverse: 1999, you can explore the game on the Google Play Store.
