The 2025 Oscar nominations for the 97th Academy Awards have been revealed, with Emilia Pérez taking center stage as the most celebrated film this year. Directed by Jacques Audiard, this Spanish crime thriller has secured an impressive 13 nominations—the highest tally for a non-English-language film in Academy history. Karla Sofía Gascón, starring as the lead actress, is among the contenders for Best Actress.

Rachel Sennott and Bowen Yang unveiled the nominations during a live event on January 23 via the Oscars YouTube channel. Alongside Emilia Pérez, films like Wicked and The Brutalist garnered 10 nominations each, while Conclave and A Complete Unknown earned eight nods apiece.
