Among Us 3D: Release Date and Wishlist Campaign Revealed

The much-anticipated Among Us 3D has finally unveiled its release date, marking a significant milestone for fans eagerly awaiting this new iteration of the beloved game. Developed by Schell Games and published by Innersloth, Among Us 3D is set to launch on May 6, 2025. This announcement came via an official post on Among Us 3D's Twitter (X) account on April 16, 2025.

Among Us 3D: What's New?

Originally known as Among Us VR, the game has been rebranded to Among Us 3D to cater to a wider audience with its cross-play multiplayer feature. This rebranding brings a host of exciting new features, including a new permanent Tag Mode that introduces the Infected role, native proximity voice chat, limited-time events, refreshed and returning mini-games, and an array of new cosmetics. Additionally, a new in-game currency called Stardust has been introduced, which never expires and offers players greater flexibility in their in-game purchases.

It's important to note that Among Us 3D and the original Among Us VR, which was released in 2022, are distinct games. Cross-play between the two is not possible, as confirmed by the FAQs on Schell Games' website. The developers have stated, "Separating the versions during this development allowed/allows us to continue to bring quality updates to our Among Us VR beans while ensuring the highest quality and tailored experience for our new PC players."

Wishlist Campaign: Powered By Wishlists Challenge

To build anticipation and reward the community, Among Us 3D is now available for wishlisting on Steam. Alongside this, Schell Games has launched the Powered By Wishlists Challenge. This campaign sets various wishlist milestones, and reaching these will unlock exclusive in-game rewards for all players. The current milestones and their corresponding rewards are:

• 333,333 Wishlists - A New Hat
• 444,444 Wishlists - Another New Hat
• 555,555 Wishlists - A Cosmetic Surprise
• 777,777 Wishlists - Suspiciously New Exciting Cosmetic(s)

While the final two rewards remain undisclosed, fans can anticipate receiving some exceptional items to enhance their experience as crewmates in Among Us 3D.
