Fans of the iconic 1995 film *Clueless* are in for a treat, as Alicia Silverstone is set to reprise her role as the unforgettable Cher Horowitz in a new sequel series for Peacock. The streaming platform is currently developing this much-anticipated project, but plot details are being closely guarded. What we do know is that this series will continue the story from the original movie, marking a significant departure from the Clueless spin-off that Peacock had planned back in 2020.

The creative team behind this exciting venture includes Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, renowned for their work on the original *Gossip Girl* series and its reboot, who will be writing and executive producing alongside Jordan Weiss. The trio is joined by Amy Heckerling, the writer-director of the original *Clueless* film, and Robert Lawrence, the film's producer, both of whom will also serve as executive producers. The production will be handled by CBS Studios and Universal Television, ensuring a high-quality continuation of the beloved franchise.

This isn't the first time *Clueless* has transitioned to the small screen. From 1996 to 1999, a television adaptation aired on ABC and UPN, featuring Rachel Blanchard as Cher instead of Silverstone. However, Silverstone's recent return to the role in a 2023 Super Bowl commercial for Rakuten shows her eagerness to step back into Cher's iconic wardrobe, much to the delight of fans everywhere.
