With the recent updates from Niantic, which have primarily focused on Pokémon Go and its upcoming stamp rally event as well as Go Fest 2025, fans of Monster Hunter Now can be pleased to see some attention given to their game. This is certainly a welcome change, with an entirely new Driftsmelting Bonanza just around the corner!
From June 30th through July 6th, the Driftsmelting Bonanza will feature more frequent appearances from monsters such as Teostra, Bazelgeuse, Mizutsune, Nightshade Paolumu, Tzitzi-Ya-Ku, and Great Girros. Defeating them will automatically give you a Mysterious Driftstone H, though it won't provide regular Driftstone drops.
As expected, the chance to obtain these Mysterious Driftstone H is one of the main attractions of this event. You can get them from any large monster, and they may grant your armor abilities such as Ailment Opportunist (a new skill for exploiting status debuffs on monsters!), Status Sneak Attack, and Blast Attack.

Monster Drift
Of course, the main attraction of any Driftsmelting Bonanza is the reduced distance required for driftsmelting, which will drop from 5km to just 1km! There are also enhanced rewards from featured monsters, and Teostra will be the only focus in Elder Dragon Interceptions during this time.
Fortunately, if Teostra seems too difficult, you don't need to defeat it to get its Mysterious Driftstone H, as repelling this creature will still reward you with it.
