How to Find the Cat Island in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

To embark on your feline adventure, you'll need to head to the Omi region, which becomes accessible around the midpoint of the story. Ensure your characters are well-equipped and ready for the journey, then navigate northeast to reach Omi.

Your destination is Lake Biwa, a vast body of water at the heart of the region. It's advisable to secure a boat as soon as possible from settlements like Azuchi or Omizo. Alternatively, you can swim to reach your target. Aim for the larger island in the center of the lake, northwest of Azuchi. This island, known as Okishima, features a Kakurega where you can rest. You'll notice plenty of dried fish near the docks, a clear sign that this island is home to a certain type of animal.

To find the cats on Okishima, head north toward the Leap of Faith. As you ascend, you'll start seeing more cats. Don't miss the chance to pet them, as this will add them to your collection for use in the Hideout. Keep an eye out for rare kittens, which are particularly elusive and valuable.

While the Leap of Faith usually unlocks new map locations, the true treasure on Okishima is the companionship of the cats. After exploring and landing in the haystack, there's not much else to do here except enjoy the presence of these delightful creatures. You'll also return to Okishima later in Yasuke's story, adding another layer to your adventure.
