Originally announced in December 2023, Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc is a direct sequel to the acclaimed anime series produced by MAPPA in 2022. The story follows protagonist Denji, who, after making a pact with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita, gains the ability to transform parts of his body into chainsaws, embarking on a journey that transcends his initial identity as just a Chainsaw Man.
The film introduces a new character, Reze, a significant figure from the original manga that the anime is based on. Directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara and written by Hiroshi Seko, the movie brings back the entire voice cast from the anime series to reprise their roles.
