Square Enix has proudly announced that the iconic JRPG, Chrono Trigger, has reached its remarkable 30-year milestone. This significant anniversary is set to be celebrated with a series of projects that will roll out over the coming year. While the details of these projects remain under wraps, the phrasing used by Square Enix hints that they may go beyond mere game enhancements, sparking excitement and speculation among the fanbase.

Fans have long yearned for a comprehensive remaster or a modern console release of Chrono Trigger. Despite being hailed as one of the greatest JRPGs ever created, the game has yet to see a full remake or a re-release on PlayStation beyond the PS1 port back in 1999.
