Exclusive Features Coming to Deltarune on Switch 2

Switch 2-Only Content Including a Unique Interactive Space

The upcoming Switch 2 edition of Deltarune, revealed during Nintendo's April 2 Direct event, will bundle Chapters 3 and 4 with platform-specific enhancements.

Developer Toby Fox detailed in Fangamer's newsletter how these Joy-Con exclusive features will work: "We've designed a compact SPECIAL ROOM that fully utilizes the Switch 2's dual-controller mouse functionality - an innovation unique to this platform." Players on other systems can still access this content through adapted controls.

Cross-platform save compatibility has been confirmed, allowing progress transfer from the Switch demo versions of Chapters 1 and 2.

All Future Chapters Will Be Complimentary

The $24.99 packaged release includes previously free Chapters 1-2 alongside the new Chapters 3-4. While earlier announcements suggested paid future content, Fox reversed this decision: "My ambition is for players to view this as an exceptional value as we expand the experience."

A $14.99 soundtrack edition launches simultaneously on Steam, featuring 150+ tracks with future musical additions included at no extra cost.

Scheduled for June 5, 2025 alongside Switch 2's debut, Deltarune Chapters 1-4 will span PlayStation 4/5, Nintendo Switch/Switch 2, and PC platforms.
