Remedy Entertainment has set June 17, 2025 as the official launch date for FBC: Firebreak, their first self-published title.
FBC: Firebreak delivers a cooperative PvE multiplayer experience set in the Control universe. Players will undertake repeatable Jobs - dynamic missions featuring varying challenges, objectives, and environments that demand tactical coordination.
The game launches on PC (Steam/Epic), Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 priced at $39.99/€39.99/£32.99. Subscribers can access it immediately through PC Game Pass, Game Pass Ultimate, and PlayStation Plus Game Catalog tiers.
Premium Edition and Optional Content
Remedy revealed the FBC: Firebreak Deluxe Edition ($49.99/€49.99/£39.99), including exclusive cosmetic bundles and premium voice packs. Base game owners can upgrade for $10/€10/£7.
The Deluxe Edition includes:
- "The Firestarter" and "The Pencil Pusher" premium voice packs
- Firestarter Armor Set (Apex Revision)
- Scorched Remnant shotgun skin
- Golden Firebreak Spray
- Classified Requisition bundle with 36 cosmetic unlocks
The Requisitions System Explained
FBC: Firebreak introduces Requisitions - a progression system rewarding players with gear and cosmetics through regular gameplay. All items remain permanently available without time-limited restrictions.
The Classified Requisitions program offers optional premium cosmetics purchasable with real money, all purely aesthetic with no gameplay advantages.
Post-Launch Roadmap
Remedy confirmed plans for continuous free content updates, including:
- Two new Jobs arriving later in 2025
- Additional expansions planned for 2026
The studio maintains all mission content will remain free, with monetization limited to optional cosmetics.
Remedy currently develops multiple projects concurrently, including Control 2 and the Max Payne 1+2 remakes.
