After more than two years of waiting, PC gamers can finally rejoice as Grand Theft Auto V is set to receive a monumental update on March 4, aligning it closely with the console versions released in 2022. This eagerly anticipated update will be available at no extra cost to current players, seamlessly transferring their progress in both GTA Online and the Story Mode without any additional steps required.

The lion's share of this update's enhancements is dedicated to GTA Online, introducing a vast array of content previously exclusive to console players. Moreover, the GTA+ subscription service will now be accessible to PC users, offering a plethora of benefits including accelerated profit collection from in-game businesses. Rockstar Games has also bolstered its anti-cheat measures to ensure a fairer gaming environment.

Alongside these gameplay improvements, the update will introduce significant graphical enhancements. However, this comes with a caveat: the system requirements for the game will increase. Players with hardware unable to meet these new demands will have the option to continue playing the older version, which Rockstar Games will keep supporting. It's important to note, though, that there will be no cross-version support, meaning players on different versions won't be able to play together.
