The highly anticipated HBO Harry Potter series has finalized its casting for several pivotal roles, including Draco Malfoy, Lucius Malfoy, and Molly Weasley.
Katherine Parkinson, acclaimed for her role in The IT Crowd, will bring life to Molly Weasley, the devoted mother of Ron Weasley and matriarch of the Weasley family. This iconic character was previously portrayed by Julie Walters in the original film adaptations.
Fresh talent Lox Pratt steps into the coveted role of Draco Malfoy, Harry Potter's silver-tongued Slytherin rival who serves as his primary antagonist throughout their Hogwarts years. Meanwhile, Lovesick star Johnny Flynn will embody Draco's cunning father, Lucius Malfoy.
The casting announcements also revealed several newcomers portraying Hogwarts students:
- Leo Earley as Seamus Finnigan
- Alessia Leoni as Parvati Patil
- Sienna Moosah as Lavender Brown
Earlier today, HBO confirmed additional cast members:
- Bertie Carvel (The Crown) as Minister of Magic Cornelius Fudge
- Bel Powley and Daniel Rigby as Petunia and Vernon Dursley, Harry's neglectful aunt and uncle

With filming commencing soon, the series has now revealed most of its principal cast, including the three rising stars portraying the central trio:

Veteran actor John Lithgow was the first announced for the series, taking on the role of Albus Dumbledore. Subsequent casting reveals included:
