Marvel Rivals Season 1 Mid-Season Update: No Rank Reset

A recent announcement regarding the Marvel Rivals Season 1 mid-season update clarified the much-debated topic of a rank reset. Initially, a rank reset was planned for February 21st, 2025, coinciding with the introduction of The Thing and Human Torch. This decision, however, met with significant player backlash.

Responding to player feedback, NetEase Games reversed course. The mid-season update will not include a rank reset. Players will retain their existing ranks and scores. To earn new rewards, players simply need to complete 10 competitive matches and meet specific conditions by the end of the season. These rewards include a new Gold rank costume and various Crests of Honor.

This decision showcases NetEase's responsiveness to community concerns and provides players more time to maintain their hard-earned ranks.

Season 1 Mid-Season Update Details:

Beyond the absence of a rank reset, the mid-season update introduces The Thing and Human Torch as playable characters. Specific balance adjustments (buffs and nerfs) to existing characters remain unannounced, but are anticipated.
