Monster Hunter Now debuts new monster with the Elder Dragon Malzeno and new event

Although it may not have reached the same cultural heights as Pokémon Go, Monster Hunter Now remains a beloved and engaging entry in Niantic’s portfolio. However, hunters are now facing their ultimate test as Malzeno arrives alongside a significant new event.

Malzeno’s imposing stature belies his lethal nature. Utilizing Qurio to siphon vitality from other creatures, he hunts under the cover of darkness much like a vampire. Upon entering the Bloodening—a state where his scales turn a deep crimson—he becomes one of the most formidable foes on a spooky night.

Starting November 20th, Malzeno will appear in Elder Dragon Interceptions, giving players ample opportunity to battle him. The Autumn Hunt 2025 is an exclusive ticketed event priced at $8.99, offering several perks for participants.

Hallowed Dragons and Abundant Bloodshed

What rewards await? Participants enjoy unlimited cooldowns for Elder Dragon Interceptions and Hunt-a-thons, with Malzeno being the only dragon available during interceptions. Additional prizes include layered armor inspired by the blood-draining elder dragon and a unique event sticker.
