Indie Studio We Are Muesli Announces Narrative Game In Their Shoes

Independent studio We Are Muesli has unveiled their forthcoming narrative experience In Their Shoes, scheduled for release across mobile and PC platforms in 2026. The project has already garnered recognition with a nomination for the prestigious 'A MAZE. 2025' independent games awards in Berlin.

In Their Shoes: A Narrative Game Focused on Empathic Engagement

Set against the vibrant backdrop of contemporary Milan - a city brimming with contrasts - the game invites players to inhabit seven distinct lives. Through forty-nine brief interactive vignettes called "Moments," users gain intimate portraits of ordinary days.

Each Moment captures authentic human experiences: uncertain pauses, daily rituals, and snap judgments. Some sequences unfold gradually, allowing players to inhabit a character's internal monologue. Others demand rapid responses, mirroring life's urgent decisions.

Diverging from conventional narrative games, In Their Shoes presents deliberately fragmented storytelling. As players connect these narrative shards, they'll uncover twenty-six revealing biographical details per character - creating a genuine slice-of-life mosaic.

While not yet available on Play Store, prospective players can explore the Steam listing. Preview the game's distinctive atmosphere below:
