"Nintendo Switch 2 Fans Applaud as Zelda Speedrunner Conquers Final Boss in Under 10 Minutes"

A speedrunner of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild set a remarkable record at the Nintendo Switch 2 Experience in Japan, where playtime was capped at just 10 minutes. Japanese content creator Ikaboze, as reported by VGC, used an existing save file to challenge the final boss, Ganon, under the unique constraint of being "completely naked and with all my equipment removed." Despite the unfamiliar controller and the noisy convention environment, Ikaboze managed to defeat Ganon in just seven minutes, prompting spontaneous applause from onlookers.

Ikaboze expressed his surprise at the large crowd and the attention from the event staff, who were even filming the feat on their smartphones. He noted that this was the first completion of the Breath of the Wild demo at the event, earning him congratulations from the staff.

The Nintendo Switch 2 Enhanced Edition of Breath of the Wild boasts improved visuals and performance, new achievements, and support for the "Zelda Notes" service within the Nintendo Switch Online app. Owners of the original Switch version can access these enhancements through a $10 upgrade pack, which is also available at no extra cost to Nintendo Switch Online and Expansion Pack subscribers. This upgrade option extends to Tears of the Kingdom as well.
