New specifics about the long-rumored reboot of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion have emerged following a leak on a development studio's site, showcasing screenshots and visuals for what appears to be The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.

Found and circulated across forums like ResetEra and Reddit, the materials were allegedly sourced from the website of developer Virtuos. The images reveal a visually upgraded Oblivion, displaying clear improvements in character models, environmental details, and overall graphical fidelity.

At the time of reporting, the Virtuos website has become largely inaccessible, with most pages beyond its homepage appearing offline.

Although the original details were swiftly removed, numerous screenshots and specifics have already been widely shared online. According to VGC, the long-rumored project is titled The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered and is being developed through a partnership between Virtuos and Bethesda's studios in Dallas and Rockville.

Virtuos has extensive experience with remasters, having contributed to and developed several high-profile re-releases, such as The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition.

The leaked site information also suggests the Oblivion remaster will release on PC, Xbox Series X|S (with day-one Game Pass availability), and PlayStation 5. A Deluxe Edition is also mentioned, reportedly featuring bonus weapons and horse armor—a clear reference to the infamous 2006 DLC.

Talk of an Oblivion remaster has persisted for some time, with initial rumors tracing back to documents leaked during the Microsoft-FTC trial in 2023. Subsequent reports have consistently pointed to its development, with recent speculation even hinting at a surprise release as early as this month.

While no official announcement has been made, the scale of this leak strongly indicates that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is not only real but likely imminent.
