Path of Exile 2: Guide to Obtaining HoWA

Author: Emery Apr 26,2025

Hand of Wisdom and Action Furtive Wraps are among the most sought-after and expensive unique items in Path of Exile 2. These gloves, often referred to as HoWA, can significantly enhance various builds, making them a game-changer for players aiming to optimize their endgame setups for mapping or bossing. Given their rarity, securing a pair of HoWA is no small feat.

How to Get Hand of Wisdom and Action Furtive Wraps in PoE 2

To obtain the Hand of Wisdom and Action, you need to defeat Xesht, We That Are One, the endgame pinnacle Breach boss. This boss can be found in the Twisted Domain, accessible through the Realmgate on the Atlas by using a Breachstone. The Realmgate is conveniently located near the starting point of the Atlas, which you can quickly find by clicking the home icon to focus the camera on this area.

Alternatively, you can acquire HoWA through the Path of Exile 2 official trading website, although this method can be quite costly. Even a poorly rolled HoWA can fetch multiple divines, reflecting its high demand and value.

How to Get a Breachstone in PoE 2

There are two primary methods to obtain a Breachstone in PoE 2:

  • Combining Breach Splinters: You can farm Breach map nodes on the Atlas to collect Breach Splinters. These are relatively common drops, but you'll need 300 splinters to create a Breachstone. Once you have the required amount, simply stack them together to form the Breachstone.
  • Using the Currency Exchange: You can also purchase Breach Splinters or Breachstones directly from the in-game Currency Exchange. Speak to Alva and place an order at the current market rate, which typically hovers around 50-60 Exalted Orbs per Breachstone, though prices can fluctuate.

The ideal rolls for a Hand of Wisdom and Action include at least 4% Attack Speed per 25 Dexterity, 1-12 Lightning Damage per 10 Intelligence, and two rune Socket slots. Achieving these perfect rolls requires using a Vaal Orb on your HoWA.

Can You Use Orb of Chance to Get Hand of Wisdom and Action

Unfortunately, you cannot use an Orb of Chance to obtain Hand of Wisdom and Action. These gloves are a limited drop exclusive to defeating Xesht, We That Are One, and are not part of the standard loot pool, unlike other unique items such as Astramentis, Headhunter, or Polcirkeln. Therefore, attempting to use an Orb of Chance on White Furtive Wraps will not yield HoWA.
