Developed by Black Wing Game Studio in collaboration with former Persona 5 developers, Persona 5: The Phantom X operates on a free-to-play model, featuring a gacha system that allows players to recruit various characters to their party. Additional features include a guild system and a PvE mode known as Velvet Trials, alongside some beloved characters from the original Persona 5. The narrative begins with the protagonist awakening from a nightmare to find themselves in a distorted reality, guided by a talking owl named Lefaye and the familiar Velvet Room crew, including the enigmatic long-nosed man and his assistants.
