Rockstar, the masterminds behind the iconic GTA series, have just released an Anniversary Edition update for Bully on mobile devices. It's been a whopping six years since the last update, and mobile gamers are in for a treat because this update is exclusive to mobile platforms, leaving console and PC players waiting on the sidelines.
Rockstar Hasn’t Forgotten about Bullworth Academy!
Bully: Anniversary Edition's latest update brings a host of new languages, stability improvements, and crucial bug fixes. Rockstar has decided to temporarily disable Friends Challenges to ensure a smoother experience for players.
But that's not all! Android users with compatible devices can now enjoy Screen Space Ambient Occlusion (SSAO), enhancing the visual experience. The update also includes a refreshed app icon and introduces haptic feedback for a more immersive gameplay experience across both Android and iOS platforms.
Several mission-specific issues have been addressed. The notorious locker-picking challenge in ‘That Bitch’ mission, where Mandy's locker was previously impossible to access, has been fixed. Similarly, the ‘Weed Killer’ mission now progresses correctly, even if you break the window prematurely. The notorious glitch in ‘The Rumble’ where police cars would inexplicably fall through the floor has been resolved. Additionally, the update corrects instances where enemies would refuse to engage Jimmy in combat, making fights feel more balanced and less one-sided. Crashes that occurred when starting a new game or loading a save from the pause menu have also been fixed, ensuring a smoother gameplay experience.
What Do Players Have to Say about Bully: Anniversary Edition?
The gaming community has been clamoring for Bully 2 for years, but it seems Rockstar has other projects on their radar. Rumors suggest that a sequel was in the works during the 2010s but was shelved in favor of Red Dead Redemption 2 and the ever-popular GTA Online.
With GTA 6 now in development, the prospects of Bully 2 seem dim, especially considering that many of the original developers have moved on from Rockstar. While the new update isn't a full remaster or a sequel, it's a significant upgrade for mobile players.
For those new to the game, Bully is Rockstar's unique take on a schoolyard sandbox game. You step into the shoes of Jimmy Hopkins, a 15-year-old rebel navigating the trials and tribulations of life at Bullworth Academy. The game is infused with Rockstar's signature humor and offers a playground for mischief and mayhem.
So, if you're interested, you can grab Bully: Anniversary Edition on the Google Play Store for €7.99. The game also supports full gamepad functionality for an enhanced gaming experience.
