Square Enix has delighted fans by releasing SaGa Frontier 2: Remastered on mobile and other platforms. Originally launched on the PlayStation in 1999 in Japan and in 2000 in North America and Europe, this remaster brings the classic game back to life with upgraded visuals and exciting new content.
SaGa Frontier 2: Remastered Is Now Available on Android
SaGa Frontier 2 transports players to the enchanting world of Sandail, where magic is channeled through a mysterious force known as Anima. The game primarily follows the journeys of two distinct characters: Gustave, a royal with a surprising lack of magical talent, and William Knights, a young adventurer from a family dedicated to hunting ancient relics called Quells.
Gustave’s narrative begins when he is exiled from the Kingdom of Finney for his inability to wield Anima, a significant disadvantage in his world. On the other hand, William, often referred to as Wil, embarks on a quest to uncover the truth behind his parents’ mysterious demise and to understand the enigmatic relic known as the Egg, which can alter people’s minds.
SaGa Frontier 2: Remastered enhances the original game’s graphics to a higher resolution, making the beautiful watercolour backgrounds even more vivid and crisp. The user interface (UI) has been thoughtfully redesigned to improve navigation while preserving the game’s classic feel.

What Else Is New?
The remastered version introduces new stories that seamlessly integrate with the original plot, enriching the game's narrative. The combat system retains its turn-based strategy, offering three distinct types of battles: Party Battles, Duels, and Warfare. Party Battles follow the traditional RPG format, while Duels are intense one-on-one confrontations where strategic moves are crucial. Warfare, on the other hand, involves large-scale strategic clashes, ensuring that combat remains dynamic and engaging by requiring different approaches for each type.
Additionally, the game reintroduces the glimmer system from the original, allowing players to learn new techniques during battles, and the combo mechanic, which rewards players for chaining attacks with their team. With these enhancements, SaGa Frontier 2: Remastered is now available on the Google Play Store for Android users to enjoy.
