Tingklik is a traditional Balinese musical instrument

Tingklik is a traditional Balinese musical instrument crafted from bamboo blades, played by striking the bamboo slats with a tool called a tingklik mallet. The Tingklik ensemble includes two primary instruments: the Tingklik Polos and Tingklik Sangsih. Each instrument typically features between eleven to twenty-five bamboo blades, with the exact number varying according to the musical scale employed. Performers play the tingklik using both hands - the right hand typically executes the kotekan (melodic patterns) while the left hand maintains the bun (rhythmic foundation). Sometimes players alternate hands, with the right handling the sangsih part and the left playing the polos role.
