Quickfire Rules:
After dealing the cards evenly among four players, each player bids either high (a black card) or low (a red card). The bids are revealed one by one starting left of the dealer. The first black card turned over signals a 'high' round where teams aim to win as many tricks as possible. If all bid cards are red, the round is 'low,' and teams try to win as few tricks as possible.
In high bid rounds, the player to the right of the one who 'granded' leads the first trick. In low bid rounds, the player to the left of the dealer leads. Players must follow suit if possible; otherwise, they can play any card. The highest card of the led suit wins the trick, and the winner leads the next trick.
Scoring occurs at the end of each round. In high bid rounds, the team that granded earns a point for every trick over six. If they fail to reach seven tricks, the opposing team scores one or two points per trick over six, depending on the 'set bonus' setting. In low bid rounds, teams earn one point for each trick under seven.
