After investigating with Kai and Marius in Paradis, you'll uncover the identity of your assassin: Ygwulf, a Paradisan Rebel fiercely resisting Aedyr's influence. As the Emperor's Envoy, you're a prime target. You'll eventually track Ygwulf and his group to their underground hideout, navigating enemies and obstacles to reach him. Along the way, you might discover documents revealing Ygwulf's remorse and misguided belief that the Gods ordained his actions. Even without these documents, Ygwulf expresses regret during your confrontation. He's apologetic but prepared to face the consequences.

The Consequences of Your Choice

Surrendering Ygwulf to the Inquisitor Lödwyn is the least desirable outcome. It results in a brutal and implied painful death, yielding fewer rewards than other options. Sparing Ygwulf earns you 625 Copper Skeyt and some Adra, a modest reward, but his death is inevitable later in the story.

Why Killing Ygwulf is the Best Option

Since Ygwulf's death is predetermined, choosing to attack during your dialogue offers the most advantages. This triggers a challenging boss fight, valuable practice for future encounters.
