Baldur’s Gate 3 Dev Larian Wants Your Help Testing Patch 8

Larian Studios announced on a Steam post that a stress test for Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 8 will begin in January. This test will be available on PC via Steam, and on Xbox and PlayStation consoles. Mac and GOG users will not have access to this stress test. Registration is currently open.

Larian plans to thoroughly test Patch 8 for bugs and gameplay issues before its official release. They're particularly interested in player feedback on cross-play functionality, stating that implementing cross-play in a game of Baldur's Gate 3's scale has been challenging. Players are encouraged to register and test cross-play, either with friends or by finding groups on the Larian Studios Discord server.

While Patch 8 marks the final major update for Baldur's Gate 3, Larian assures continued support for modders. Significant updates are planned to enhance modding tools, enabling players to create and share their own stories. Since the release of official modding tools in September, over 70 million modules have been downloaded, and over 3,000 mods have been uploaded.
