Catch the Bus in Marvel Rivals

Unfortunately, even in an excellent game like Marvel Rivals, some players exploit the system. NetEase Games enables players to report suspicious activity, and a newly added reporting option called "Bussing" has left many confused. Here's what it means and how to identify it.

When reporting a player in Marvel Rivals, you'll find options like "Throwing" and "Griefing." The latest update introduced a new term: "Bussing." Despite the amusing name, it refers to players deliberately teaming with cheaters to artificially boost their rankings—not mic-related disruptions.

After queries from confused players, Marvel Rivals clarified this through an official response (via Dexerto): "'Bussing' describes players who knowingly partner with cheaters for unfair rank progression. Report suspicious cases using this option." While straightforward, proper identification is key to accurate reporting.

Spotting Bussing Behavior

Identifying cheaters in Marvel Rivals often becomes obvious through killcams—look for unnaturally precise aiming or erratic movement patterns. However, not all teammates may be complicit. Some might unknowingly play alongside exploiters.

To confirm Bussing, observe matches closely: track enemy coordination and communication. Legitimate players might simply be caught in a cheater's squad, so avoid rash reports. Gather evidence first—consider in-game chat interactions to assess team dynamics.
