Chants of Sennaar has arrived on mobile devices! Originally developed by Rundisc, the mobile version is published by Playdigious. This critically acclaimed puzzle-adventure, drawing creative inspiration from titles like Heaven's Vault and Captain Blood, first launched in September 2023 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows.

The game reimagines the ancient story of the Tower of Babel through intricate puzzles and cultural exploration. Its excellence has been recognized with awards like Best Indie Game at the 2024 New York Game Awards, alongside numerous nominations at major events including The Game Awards and the BAFTA Games Awards.

Decode, Learn and Connect in Chants of Sennaar

The game's core premise is rooted in the myth of the Tower of Babel, where language is both the primary barrier and the essential tool for progress. You assume the role of the Traveler, a mysterious, robed figure who awakens in a sarcophagus at the foot of a massive, ziggurat-like tower.

Each ascending level of this spiraling structure is inhabited by a distinct caste, each with its own unique culture and language. To climb higher, you must decipher these alien tongues, bridge divides, and reforge connections between the tower's estranged peoples.

Gameplay revolves around careful observation, listening, and logging discovered symbols and their meanings in your notebook. The challenge involves not just cracking linguistic codes, but also applying that knowledge to communicate across cultural boundaries and unlock your path upward.

Visually, the game is heavily influenced by the work of Moebius and the style of French-Belgian comics, giving every floor a distinct aesthetic defined by its architecture, technology, and society.
