Use Flash Pod
Despite its massive size, Doshaguma is incredibly agile, capable of jumping and dashing around the arena. This makes it a challenging target, especially for melee weapon users. To gain the upper hand, deploy a Flash Pod to temporarily blind the monster. This brief window allows you to land critical hits or even mount the beast for a strategic advantage.
Attack the Legs
Focus your attacks on Doshaguma's legs, particularly the forelegs, which have a 3-star weakness. While the back legs are less vulnerable with a 2-star weakness, they're still viable targets. Don't overlook the head, another 3-star weak point, for maximum damage. If you're aiming for additional parts, consider targeting the tail, which can be broken for extra loot.
Use Fire and Lightning
In your battle against Doshaguma, leverage the power of fire and lightning. Bowgun users should stock up on Flaming and Thunder ammo, while melee fighters can enhance their weapons with fire-based decorations. Aim for the head and torso with fire attacks, and focus solely on the head when using lightning to maximize your elemental damage.
Beware of Blastblight
Doshaguma can inflict Blastblight, a dangerous status ailment that can lead to an explosion if not addressed. Counter this threat by using Nulberries or Deodorant, or by dodge-rolling up to three times to shake off the effect before it's too late.
Use Traps
Don't just rely on brute force; utilize the environment to your advantage. Doshaguma's territory often features natural traps that can be triggered to slow it down. Remember to sheath your weapon before using your slinger, and ensure the monster is positioned directly under the trap before activating it.

How to Capture Doshaguma in Monster Hunter Wilds

If you prefer capturing Doshaguma over killing it, you'll need to weaken the beast until its HP drops to 20% or less. Once it's on the brink, set up a Shock or Pitfall Trap. Lure Doshaguma into the trap using Luring Ammo or meat as bait if necessary. Once trapped, quickly administer tranquilizers to put it to sleep. Multiple shots may be required to ensure the capture.
Armed with these strategies, you're ready to face the Alpha Doshaguma in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. Don't forget to fuel up with a hearty meal before the hunt to benefit from food buffs.
