On January 18, Deadlock introduced four exciting new heroes to the mix, and shortly thereafter, Valve rolled out balance adjustments to keep the gameplay fair and engaging. Holliday's ability, Crackshot, now triggers on units and uses half its cooldown when doing so, enhancing her versatility. Meanwhile, Calico's ability, Ava, has been upgraded to destroy objects she runs through, adding a new dynamic to her gameplay.
The patch didn't stop at the new heroes; older characters also received attention. Kelvin's health was bumped up from 600 to 650, making him more resilient in battles. On the other hand, Vendicta faced some nerfs with her bullet speed dropping from 810 to 740, and her movement speed reduced from nine to eight, aiming to balance her power on the battlefield. In total, 11 heroes, including the recent additions, were targeted for changes.
Deadlock remains in closed beta, with player counts fluctuating between 7,000 and 20,000, showcasing a dedicated community eagerly awaiting each new update.
