Marvel Rivals Unveils Darkhold Battle Pass for Season 1

Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls – A Deep Dive into the Darkhold Battle Pass

NetEase Games has unveiled the Darkhold Battle Pass for Marvel Rivals' Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, offering a thrilling glimpse into the upcoming content. Dracula takes center stage as the primary antagonist, overshadowing Doctor Doom for this season. The narrative unfolds with Doctor Strange ensnared in a trap, prompting the Fantastic Four to lead the counter-offensive against Dracula's forces. Season 1 launches January 10th at 1 AM PST.

The Battle Pass, priced at 990 Lattice (approximately $10), offers substantial rewards. Completion grants 600 Lattice and 600 Units, usable for future cosmetic purchases or battle passes. Ten exclusive skins headline the rewards, complemented by sprays, nameplates, emotes, and MVP animations. A key benefit: uncompleted passes don't expire, allowing players to finish at their own pace.

A closer look at the Battle Pass reveals a striking visual theme. The showcased skins offer a dark and gothic aesthetic:

Season 1 Battle Pass Skins:

  • Loki – All-Butcher
  • Moon Knight – Blood Moon Knight
  • Rocket Raccoon – Bounty Hunter
  • Peni Parker – Blue Tarantula
  • Magneto – King Magnus (House of M inspired)
  • Namor – Savage Sub-Mariner
  • Iron Man – Blood Edge Armor (Dark Souls inspired)
  • Adam Warlock – Blood Soul
  • Scarlet Witch – Emporium Matron
  • Wolverine – Blood Berserker (Van Helsing inspired)

The season's overall aesthetic is notably dark, with a blood moon dominating the new New York City maps. Wolverine's skin evokes Van Helsing, while Loki's All-Butcher skin and Moon Knight's black and white costume enhance the sinister atmosphere. Scarlet Witch retains her signature red and purple, while Adam Warlock sports golden armor and a crimson cape.

While the Battle Pass generates significant excitement, the absence of Fantastic Four skins has surprised some fans. Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic debut in Season 1, but their cosmetics will be available separately in the in-game shop. Despite this, anticipation remains high for the new content and future updates from NetEase Games.
