Mecha BREAK, the exciting multiplayer mech game, has just wrapped up its open beta phase on Steam, concluding on March 16. The beta attracted a peak of over 300,000 players, propelling it to the 5th spot on Steam's most wishlisted games. Following the open beta, the developers at Amazing Seasun are now considering significant changes based on player feedback, with a particular focus on the availability of the game's mechs, known as Break Strikers.
One of the standout proposals from the developers is the possibility of making all starting mechs free. Initially, players could only access one Break Striker at the start, with the option to unlock the other 11 by grinding through multiplayer matches to earn enough in-game currency. This process could be quite time-consuming, potentially deterring new players from fully engaging with the game's diverse roster of mechs.
Amazing Seasun is also looking at adjustments to the usage of mech modules in both 3v3 and 6v6 competitive modes. While these potential changes are under consideration, the company has not made any firm commitments. They believe that adopting a live service model at launch is the best approach for the long-term success and evolution of Mecha BREAK.
