Monster Train: A Slay the Spire-Like Game Now on Android

Monster Train, a captivating roguelite deck-building game, has now arrived on Android devices, following its initial release on PC in 2020, and subsequent launches on consoles and iOS in 2022. Often compared to the acclaimed Slay the Spire due to its genre and gameplay, Monster Train offers a unique and engaging experience for mobile gamers.

What Does Monster Train Bring to Android?

Set aboard a train descending into the icy depths of hell, your mission in Monster Train is to safeguard the last burning pyre from celestial intruders. What sets this game apart is its innovative three-vertical-lane system. Unlike traditional games that feature a single battlefield, Monster Train challenges you to manage three lanes simultaneously, adding a thrilling layer of strategy.

As you progress, you'll unlock over 250 cards and explore the diverse abilities of five distinct monster clans. Each clan offers a unique playstyle, and you can combine two clans at a time to create powerful synergies. Additionally, every clan boasts ten levels of upgrades, allowing you to access more potent cards as you advance. Champions, the game's standout units, can be upgraded multiple times, enhancing their effectiveness in battle.

The Android version of Monster Train comes fully equipped with all updates, including Wild Mutations and Friends & Foes. The Wild Mutations update introduces 35 new mutators and new difficulty settings, while Friends & Foes adds new champions, bosses, cards, and artifacts, enriching your gameplay experience. Furthermore, The Last Divinity DLC enhances replayability with the introduction of the Wurmkin clan, which you can unlock by defeating Covenant level 1. The Pact Shards mechanic in this DLC provides powerful boosts but also introduces a formidable final boss, 'The Last Divinity.'

Will You Try It Out?

Monster Train on Android is fully playable offline, including in airplane mode, and is available for $10. The in-app purchases are primarily for unlocking the full game. Once purchased through your Google account, your progress carries over across devices thanks to cloud save support. However, note that there is no controller support for the Android version. Dive into this thrilling experience by checking it out on the Google Play Store.
