Goblinz Publishing, renowned for titles like Overboss and Oaken, has launched a new Android game: Ozymandias. This 4X strategy game, reminiscent of the Civilization series, offers exploration, expansion, exploitation, and extermination gameplay. Read on to learn more.
Blazing Speed!
Set in the Bronze Age, Ozymandias lets you explore diverse Mediterranean and European civilizations. While delivering the strategic depth of a classic 4X game—city building, army raising, and conquering opponents—its unique selling point is its streamlined, rapid-fire gameplay.
Unlike many 4X games that demand meticulous resource management, Ozymandias simplifies the process. Forget endless micromanagement; this game prioritizes speed. A single match concludes within approximately 90 minutes, similar to a board game session.
The game features eight detailed historical maps and 52 distinct empires, each with unique characteristics that necessitate adaptive strategies. Multiple game modes are available, including multiplayer, solo, and asynchronous options. The simultaneous turn system further accelerates gameplay. However, this simplification might make the game feel too simplistic for some. Watch the trailer to decide for yourself!
Ready to Conquer? --------------------Ozymandias is available now on Android via the Google Play Store for $2.79. Developed by The Secret Games Company using Unreal Engine 4, it initially launched on Steam for PC in March 2022.
